Indian neighbor and only Hindu nation of the world Nepal is going to ban free speech and restrict religious freedom from next week as the Nepalese president Bidhya Devi Bhandari, is expected to sign a bill next week, which will severely restrict religious freedom in her country.
On 8 August, the Nepali Parliament passed legislation criminalizing religious conversion and the hurting of religious feelings. Human rights groups now fear a crackdown on religious minorities, curbing their right to freely worship. These concerns are not baseless as 8 Christians were arrested in 2016 because the shared a comic book on Jesus with children.
