Well, since the Gambia is a secular state, thus from my democratic prospective, I think it’s essential to entirely leave that matter to PURA which is the government organ responsible for issuance of licences to all media outlets in the country as long as they meet the criteria. In addition to that, they are willing to subscribe to all terms and conditions dictated by the media laws of the Gambia. In favour of peace and prosperity, I don’t think it would be helpful for us to let our emotions carry our faith by genuinely ignoring the rule of the law in this matter. Doing so,would mean that, we might be sleeping walking in to a deepest unknown territory. Besides that, so far from the main side of this argument I haven’t heard any compelling evidence which may carry such weight to entirely convince me to challenge the supreme law of the land.
