Routemasters rally for Red Nose Day
Friday 15th March will provide a splendid opportunity to ride a selection of traditional 1960s Routemasters in service on seven London bus routes. They will be added to the daily allocations and run free of charge. However, donations are welcome for the respective Comic Relief charities, so please give generously.
The sections of routes upon which the buses will operate are as follows:
2 Norwood Garage & Marylebone Station - 3 journeys in each direction
8 Shoreditch & Tottenham Court Road – 5 journeys in each direction
9H Hammersmith & Aldwych – 4 journeys in each direction
14 Putney and Tottenham Court Road - 3 journeys in each direction
23 Westbourne Park & Hammersmith – 3 journeys in each direction
24 Hampstead Heath & Pimlico – 3 journeys in each direction
25 Ilford & Aldgate – 1 journey in each direction
159 Lambeth North Station & Marble Arch – 7 journeys in each direction
And finally an RTW-class Leyland Titan will operate one journey in each direction on route 228 Maida Hill & Shepherd’s Bush
