One Off Bus Event at Epping Ongar Railway

An interesting 'one off' event' based on the "reshaping of London bus routes of 1968" is taking place this coming Sunday at the Epping Ongar Railway.

There will be the chance to ride on several different types of buses that

date from the 1940's through to almost the present day.

The organisers have scoured the country and out of the thousand or so that were

built and it is thought that this will be the biggest line up of 'Merlins' and 'Swifts'

(Merlins were the original 'red arrow' buses of 1968)

All the proceeds for this event will be going to help the steam railway in
its aim of connecting back to the Underground at Epping.
