3 Options. Which One?

3 Options. Which One Do You Choose?

Whatever is said publicly, Spurs WILL be looking at other players this window and will be looking at strikers.

A replacement for Fernando Llorente will be required in the summer and we will be talking to agents now to see if there is any interest from their clients, what sort of deal they would require and indeed whether a deal can be done now.

One such player we are looking at, according to Spanish sources, is 31-year-old (32 next January)  Nikola Kalinić. He is a Croatian international who plays in LaLiga for Atlético Madrid. Fans might remember that he played for Blackburn Rovers in 2009.

He signed a new contract in August that takes him up until 2021. He has scored 2 goals in 421 minutes across 11 games and 2 goals in 4 Copa del Rey games, with an additional assist.

He has played 3 UEFA Champions League games, 62 mins, 27 mins, and 21 mins without scoring against Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Club Brugge.

He has 15 goals in 42 games for Croatia. In Italy, he scored 33 goals in 100 games with 13 assists.

The Spanish say Tottenham are watching him and that he has been offered to us and Valencia with Atlético happy to see him move on. The Spanish side wants to bring in Alvaro Morata from Chelsea.

Kalinić hs offers from four of the five major leagues in Europe and has yet to decide his future.

Don't see this one having legs but does it suggest we are looking for a 30-year-old plus striker who is happy to play when required, another Fernando Llorente type signing while Kane, Son and Moura take on the main responsibility.

Plenty of fans won't agree with that approach and would rather see a younger striker, but the chances of finding someone of quality to play second fiddle to Kane are slim.

The options might be, young like Janssen with potential, injury prone or something to prove like Jay Rodriguez, Danny Ings or Daniel Sturridge or older like Llorente who understands game time will be limited.

Of the three options, which type of striker would you sign?
