USA: #MeetAMuslim comes to the U-District in Seattle


#MeetAMuslim aims to bring people together, and the invitational atmosphere of the campaign opens the experience up to productive conversation.

Seattle’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Community took to The Ave over the weekend to answer questions and resolve any misconceptions the general population might have on the subject of Islam.

Part of the #MeetAMuslim campaign, a stop at the UW was just one of several posts by the community in Seattle. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community takes part in this campaign once a month in cities across the country, in combination with a weekly “Coffee, Cake, and Islam” event.

Suleman Mubarik stood on a sidewalk, holding a sign advertising the campaign. Mubarik is a volunteer for and member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Seattle chapter in Monroe, and he said that the response has been very good.
