Spurs interest in Pépé and Donny van de Beek

Tottenham Transfer Talk

Nicolas Pépé is another winger we have been watching the development of. He is a 23-year-old (24 in May) left-footed right winger who can also play as a centre-forward. It isn't just us who are interested, both Arsenal and Manchester City are interested.

This season he has scored 12 goals and has 7 assists in 19 games. His contract runs out in 2022 and Lille do not want to sell this window.

Donny van de Beek, André Onana, Matthijs de Ligt, Frankie de Jong, David Neres, and Kasper Dolberg are all Ajax players and are all being watched.

Spurs tried to sign Matthijs de Ligt last summer but like the others, Ajax wanted to keep him for an extra year. We will clearly be holding discussions with him to see if we can do a deal but he may, of course, be wanting to join Barcelona or Juventus.

Tottenham are taking a keen interest in 21-year-old (22 in April) central midfielder Donny van de Beek at the moment while we scour the globe for a long-term replacement for 31-year-old (32 in July) Mousa Dembélé who is out of contract in the summer.

Obviously, we have to shift some non-homegrown players, in addition to Vincent Janssen, before we can bring anyone in so it is unlikely to be a busy window for Spurs.
