UK: Ahmadiyya Muslim youths keeping their communities clean


The litter-picking sessions are aimed at helping create awareness that litter on the streets is unacceptable and looks bad on the community, and takes up a lot of resources to remove it.

Volunteers from Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Oldham started a Roundthorn community clean-up session at and around Roundthorn Road.

The session was organised by Roundthron Local Community Forum, with help of Oldham Council.

Volunteers from Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Oldham and members of the Roundthorn community took litter pickers and bin bags to clean up the community.

The initiative was agreed in a local community meeting held last month at the Salvation Army Church, Roundthorn Road, Oldham.
