“The more people that come along, the more money we can raise for these fantastic causes and reward them for the vital work they do for the district. So get involved in this enjoyable event and give back to the charities which do so much for the community.”

THE Ahmadiyya Muslim Elder Association will join forces with East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) next Saturday (May 12) to host an annual fundraising walk.
To be held this year in Petersfield, the Charity Walk for Peace is expected to attract walkers of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy the three-and-a-half mile route around the town.
Designed to promote the Ahmadiyya motto “love for all, hatred for none” the walk will raise money for nine charities working in East Hampshire. They are Artscape, Challengers, Rosemary Foundation, Fitzroy, Home-Start WeyWater, Home-Start Butser, Age Concern Cowplain, Dementia Friendly Petersfield and The Kings Arms.
The event will be the second in East Hampshire, with last year’s walk raising more than £7,000.
