Pochettino calls to López
Pericos Online are suggesting that Mauricio Pochettino may have phoned 28-year-old (29 in October) RCD Espanyol centre-back David López. He has an offer from Valencia which he was informed about a week ago, but they suggest Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also interested.López has a £35.06 million (€40m) release clause in his contract that runs until 2020, but with a one-year extension clause too. Thet report that Espanyol are open to selling him, but will not lower his release clause at the moment.
He had an excellent last season and can also play as a defensive midfielder or a central midfielder.
