Germany: Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Group in Gemünden Says Islam Does Not Condone Terror


Just as for Christians there is the Bible, so for Muslims is the Koran as the Holy Scripture, which regulates among other things beliefs and ethical questions.

About 40 visitors came to the Gemerener Scherenberghalle to attend the lecture "Stop the terror - what does Islam really teach?" that the youth organization of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamat (AMJ), an Islamic reform community, had organized.

In Germany more than 40,000 members belong to the Ahmadiyya faith community and it is the first Islamic community to have obtained the status of a corporation under public law.

According to the community in Gemünden, the town has a long tradition as a place for refugees and asylum seekers and the first families came from Pakistan more than 30 years ago because they were persecuted in their home country as followers of the Ahmadiyya faith.
