The AMA is guided by their 5th Caliph, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who has instructed Ahmadi Muslims throughout the UK to assist councils with street cleaning.

On Monday 1st January 201, around 50 volunteers from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (AMA) Huddersfield, with bin bags and litter pickers in hand, will help clean up the streets of Huddersfield. The volunteers will include young children as well as elderly people, who are inspired by the teaching that ‘Loyalty to One’s Country is a Part of Faith’.
Mr Fatihul Haq, President of the AMA Huddersfield South said, “Our members have enjoyed living in Huddersfield for decades and so any opportunity to help our local Community is a much welcomed one.”Cleaning the streets of Huddersfield also presents us with an opportunity to contribute back into the community and teach everyone that cleanliness in Islam is an important part of a Muslim’s faith. “We are a peace-loving and law-abiding Muslim community, with the motto, “Love for All Hatred for None”, which will continue to help make Huddersfield an even better place to live in.”
