As part of a nationwide initiative over the Christmas period to bring festive cheer to the elderly, sick and isolated the Spen Valley Branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) visited local care homes and hospices as well as providing gifts to children on Christmas Day.
On Friday 22 December they visited Ashmeadows Care Home in Cleckheaton and distributed gifts to the elderly residents and staff. They also spent some time with the residents.
On the morning of Saturday 23 December the AMYA visited the Children’s’ Ward at Pinderfields Hospital and distributed 27 gifts to sick children. These presents were specially prepared and packed by the children of the AMYA.
