Fiji: Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association members distribute supplies to Nadi flood victims


The Ahmadhiya Muslim community Fiji was requesting food and clothing supplies for the affected flood victims in various regions of the country.

Close to 180 people affected by the recent floods within Nadi were given food packs from the Ahmadhiya Muslim Youth Group on Tuesday.

Group president Munauwar Khan said they also supplied food packs to Government officials and fire officers who were on the ground.

He said the 180 flood victims were at the evacuation centre based at Saint Andrews Primary School.

“The houses and belongings of these people were all submerged in floodwaters and they had no facilities to cook food,’’ Mr Khan said.

“Food packs were also distributed to the servicemen who were working tirelessly to bring back normalcy after the floods.
