INFINITY Magazine reflects on comics

Issue No.9 of the retro TV/film mag Infinity is in the shops now. Amongst the features on The Six Million Dollar Man, Dick Barton, Lost In Space and more are a couple of articles on British comics. Martin Ruddock charts the story of Dan Dare, whilst Richard Molesworth looks back at Look-In. The Look-In article is a nice retrospective of its 1970s issues but it makes the mistake of crediting IPC as the comic's publisher throughout its run. IPC only acquired Look-In (and its parent mag TV Times) in 1989. Prior to that, it was published by Independent Television Publications Ltd.

The covers of some comics crop up in a couple of other articles too. Infinity magazine is a great publication, packed with info and reflections of bygone times. You'll find it in branches of WH Smith. 68 pages for a very reasonable £3.99.
