It’s a giving time of the season and for the second straight year, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Lloydminster chapter made a substantial donation to help out The Olive Tree.
“It’s so nice to know other groups in the community support what we do, we are very appreciative of the donation,” said Becky Schille, director, The Olive Tree.
The local Ahmadiyya Muslim community collected more than 1,400 pounds of food.
During the holiday season, Schille said these types of donations are always needed.
“December is a big month for us. We are very busy with all of our programs and definitely an increase in the need for food, so the timing is great,” she explained.
