Sri Lanka: Quran Sinhala Translation gift to Minister of Foreign Affairs


Minister very attentively paid attention towards the presentation and asked about the differences between Ahmadis and orthodox Muslims. The delegation responded in detail and came to the subject of state sponsored persecution in Pakistan against Ahmadis.

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Moulavi K.M. Munir visited Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Colombo to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs Tilak Marappana today (4 December 2017).

Ministry Officials welcomed the delegation and served a cup of tea before meeting with the Minister. Before presenting the Holy Qur’an, the Jama’at delegation began to put forward about the brief introduction of Jama’at by showing the picture of Promised Messiah (a.s.). Minister was told about the claim of Promised Messiah (a.s.) as reformer of this age based on the prophecies of four major religions namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam.
