"Our teachings are peaceful, contrary to what many believe."
After hosting his first forum in Lithgow, Usman Mahmood is travelling to Mudgee with his Imam to answer the communities’ questions about Islam.
Mr Mahmood, a Lithgow resident, has organised the evening with his imam Mohammed Atae Rabbi Hadi at the Mudgee Town Hall Theatre on July 21.
Mr Mahmood said that after a short presentation, the audience will be able to ask questions they have about the religion to Imam Mohammed Atae Rabbi Hadi.
“People can feel free to ask anything: Sharia, jihad, halal food, head scarves, anything,” Mr Mahmood said.
“We will not be offended.”
