"Stinky Whale"....

....is how Kilchoan Early Bird described this corpse of a minke whale washed up on the rocks just south of the Ploughman's Rock to the west of Ormsaigbeg.

The dead whale was first reported on Tuesday, the same day as we had our sighting of the minke off Tobermory, and I understand it may have died after becoming tangled in fishing gear.
