UK: Members of Ahmadiyya Muslim youth group organize park litter pick

Young Muslims took part in a morning clean-up which transformed the appearance of Werneth Park.

Oldham members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Manchester (AMYM) made the park, which borders Manchester Road and Frederick Street, litter free, "beautiful and bright."

The local environment service supported the event by collecting and filling bin bags.

Youth leader for AMYM North branch, Laiq Khan, said: "Littering is a massively expensive issue for the council and a blight on communities, so members of AMYM held the litter pick to help our local park look beautiful.
