EXCERPT: COLIN LIDDELL ON THE ORIGINAL "PLANET OF THE APES"

The Planet of the Apes franchise is back in the news with a new film, War For the Planet of the Apes, being released shortly. In this short excerpt Alternative Right Chief Editor Colin Liddell discusses the original film series, which ran from 1968 to 1973, with the help of Richard Wolstencroft and Andy Nowicki.

Made in 1968, the original film was very much a reflection of its period, with the ape society portrayed in the movie serving as a metaphor of an America engaged in the Vietnam War and deeply divided as a consequence.

The excerpt is taken from Podcast 52: Cold Pizza Planet of the Oscars, recorded earlier this year.
