Tottenham Hotspur Under-18 attacking midfielder Jack Roles has signed his first professional contract with the club.
He has an eye for goal and has been pushed forward giving him greater scoring opportunities. He has impressed all who have seen him and looks a promising talent.
The 18-year-old (19 next February) is right-footed and played 17 Under-18 Premier League games scoring 13 goals with a further 2 assists. In 27 games in all competitions he scored 16 goals and had a further 4 assists.
Just like Dele Alli he is a player who arrives late into the box and he can clearly score goals when he gets there. Born in Enfield and at Tottenham since he was six, he has dual nationality and could represent either England or Cyprus. He has 2 Cyprus Under-19 caps and has scored one goal for them.
He sat on the bench for the final Under-21 game of the season to give him a taste of the next level of football for him, much the same as we put development youngsters on the bench to experience the first-team environment.
