TRANSFER TALK
Perr Schuurs is Dutch central defender currently playing for Fortuna Sittard in the Eerste Divisie. He made his senior league debut for Sittard on 14 October 2016 in an Eerste Divisie 2–0 home win against VVV-Venlo.Liverpool took him on trial earlier this month and he played for one their youth teams against Galatasaray recently. He trained with the Under-23 side and then went to Germany to play in a youth tournament for them.
Currently the Merseyside club are serving a two-year domestic youth transfer ban so ex-Tottenham coach Alex Inglethorpe, the Academy Director at Liverpool, is having to look abroad. Surely a blanket ban would have made more sense.
Other clubs interested in him include Spurs, German side RB Leipzig and Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
His father told Voetbal International that the trial didn't mean his son was joining Liverpool.
"Perr has for a while been followed by several foreign clubs including Liverpool. The club has come to watch some games in Sittard and have viewed TV pictures of Perr. On this basis they have now invited him to get acquainted. It really is not that he will play there next year."
