TRANSFER TALK
French newspaper L'Equipe are reporting that Tottenham are interested in 21-year-old (22 in November) Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar.
The French international, he has been selected twice at full international level by national team manager Didier Deschamps, is under contract until 2020 and while Spurs do have money, L'Equipe almost report it is money to burn to buy Lemar, rather than any knowledge of any negotiation figures.
Lemar is left-footed and made 31 appearances on the left wing, scoring 9 goals with a further 12 assists. He came on as a sub 9 times, scoring one goal, played on the right wing twice, scoing a goal, in all he scored 14 goals and had 17 assists.
he has been targetted by Arsene Wenger, but can't offer him any UEFA Champions League football. Italian news outlet Tuttosport reported Barcelona and Juventus following him at the beginning of May.
During the middle of May Jermaine Jenas told BBC Sport that Lemar would be a good fit at Tottenham while French football journalist Pierre Ménès feels Lemar is a gorgeous player, with technique and a velvet left foot. He will go very far if he continues like that he continues.
