TRANSFER TALK
There is someone on Twitter suggesting that Tottenham have been trying to sign 28-year-old (29 next May) Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Marco Reus for £42 million.
The German international (he has full international caps, scoring 9 goals for his country) has a contract until 2019 but is injured until December with ruptured cruciate ligament!
According to German daily newspaper Bild, Tottenham are keen on signing 29-year-old (30 next June) Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernández who is believed to be available for £12 million.
He is of course too old for our transfer policy, but could perhaps be a short term option to be sold in a year or two. West Ham United and French side Lyon are said to be interested.
I have always thought as a finisher he would fit in at Tottenham and if we sold Dutchman Vincent Janssen, I'd be happy with the ex-Manchester United forward. Hernández has just been playing for Mexico at the 2017 Confederations Cup. He has a year left on his contract.
