Oh, let's not forget about this tweet telling Abbasi to follow Islam first. Though, not to protect women, but to set a good example for them... erm... thanks but no thanks.

It almost seems as though Muslim women can never win these days. Some are judged for wearing too much, while others are judged for wearing too little. They are criticised for "not speaking up" enough, yet are silenced the moment they open their mouths.

A number of men across the racial and religious spectrums sometimes take it upon themselves to advise (aka mansplain) Muslim women to try and let them know what is best for them.

This happened recently after a self-proclaimed intellectual gave some 'brotherly' advice to Muslim women: Follow Islam and you will not be abused:
