AMRITSAR: Tension gripped Gurdaspur district's Qadian town, which is the hub of Ahmadiyya Muslim community in India, after the severed head of a calf was found in the area. As the news spread leaders of various Hindu organizations gathered at the spot and demanded stern action against the persons responsible for creating communal tension.
Police said that the head was found on Razda Road. It was first spotted by a passerby, identified as Sundar, who informed Qadian police station.
