"The harming of innocent people can never be justified under any any circumstances."
The London-based press office of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community posted a brief statement on micro-blogging website Twitter earlier today condemning the terror attack on London Bridge on Saturday that left 6 people dead and scores injured.
The Ahmadiyya statement read as following:
"The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Condemns the barbaric attacks that took place on Saturday in London in the strongest terms.
"Our heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with the people of London and all those affected.
"The harming of innocent people can never be justified under any any circumstances."
This latest attack began when a van veered off the road and rolled into pedestrians on London Bridge.
According to The Washington Post, three men carrying large knives stepped out of the van and "attacked people at bars and restaurants in nearby Borough Market."
The Metropolitan Police force declared the attacks “terrorist incidents,” The Washington Post wrote.
